Paste the link above
Tap Paste, or press and hold inside the box and choose Paste. Then select Get video.
Save the MP4 file
A preview of the video appears with its resolution and length. Select Download HD video and the file is saved to your device.
What Is a TikTok Video Downloader?
A TikTok video downloader is an online tool that turns the link of a public TikTok video into an MP4 file you can keep on your phone or computer. You give it a link, and it gives you the video file.
The tool reads the same public page your browser opens when you visit the link. That page points to the original video file, the one TikTok plays before any logo is added. The downloader passes that file to your browser, so the saved copy has no watermark.
This is different from the Save video button inside the TikTok app. That button adds a moving TikTok logo and the creator's username on top of the picture, and it disappears when a creator turns downloads off. A TikTok video downloader works from the link, so it needs no account and no app.
What You Get With Every Download
- No watermark
- The file comes from the original video, so there is no TikTok logo and no username drifting across the frame.
- HD quality
- You get the highest resolution TikTok provides for that video. The resolution is shown before you download.
- A file that opens in editors
- The tool picks an H.264 MP4 whenever TikTok offers one. H.264 opens in CapCut, Premiere Pro, iMovie and the default Windows player without extra codecs.
- Free, with no limit
- There is no charge, no daily cap and no premium plan. Videos are downloaded one at a time.
- No app and no login
- Everything runs in your web browser. You never enter a TikTok username or password.
- Visible progress
- A bar shows the percentage and file size while the video downloads, and a Cancel button stops it.
Download TikTok Videos on iPhone, Android and PC
The three steps are the same on every device. Only the place where the file lands is different.
iPhone and iPad
Use Safari on iOS 13 or later. Safari saves the video to the Downloads folder inside the Files app. To move it to your camera roll, open the file, tap Share, then tap Save Video.
Android
Use Chrome or any other browser. The video goes to the Downloads folder. You can open it from the Files app, and most gallery apps list it in a Downloads album.
Windows PC and Mac
Open tiktok.com in a browser, select the video, and copy its address. The MP4 is saved to your Downloads folder unless your browser is set to ask where to save each file.
Video Quality and File Format
Every download is an MP4 file. MP4 plays on phones, tablets, computers and smart TVs without a converter.
The resolution depends on the video itself. TikTok compresses each upload and stores a few versions of it. The tool selects the highest-resolution version, which is most often 720p or 1080p. A downloader cannot add detail that TikTok did not keep, so a claim of 4K TikTok downloads is not realistic.
TikTok stores video in two codecs: H.264 and HEVC, also called H.265. HEVC files are smaller, but many editors and older Windows computers refuse to open them. That is why some downloaded TikTok videos show a black screen or an import error in CapCut. This tool prefers the H.264 version, so the file plays and imports without that problem. The guide on HEVC TikTok videos explains the cause and the fixes.
Which TikTok Links Work
The tool accepts both link formats TikTok produces for a video.
| Link type | Example | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Full link | tiktok.com/@user/video/7300000000000000000 | The address bar on a computer |
| Short link | vm.tiktok.com/ZMabc123/ | Copy link in the app |
| Short link | vt.tiktok.com/ZSabc123/ | Copy link in the app, some regions |
Links to a profile, a sound, a hashtag or a live stream do not point to a single video and will not work.
Why a TikTok Video Will Not Download
If the tool returns an error, one of these six causes explains it.
- The account is private. The tool sees only what a visitor without an account can see. Private videos stay private.
- The video was deleted or removed. A link to a video that no longer exists returns nothing.
- The video is restricted. Some videos are limited by age or by country, and TikTok shows them only to signed-in users.
- The link is incomplete. A link cut off during copying fails. Copy it again from the Share menu.
- The post is a photo slideshow. This tool saves videos. A post made of photos has no video file.
- TikTok did not answer in time. This happens during busy hours. Wait a minute and try again.
Is It Safe and Legal to Download TikTok Videos?
The tool is safe to use because it asks for nothing except a link. You do not sign in, install software or grant any permission. The video passes through our server to your browser and is not kept on the server afterward.
Whether a download is legal depends on what you do with the file. Saving a video to watch offline or to keep a copy of your own work is ordinary personal use. Reposting, editing or selling another person's video requires that person's permission, because the creator keeps the copyright. Removing the watermark does not change who owns the video.
The practical rule: download your own videos freely, and ask the creator before you reuse anyone else's. This page is general information and is not legal advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this TikTok video downloader free?
Yes. Every download is free and there is no paid plan. The site may show ads to cover its running costs.
Do I need a TikTok account to download a video?
No. The tool works from the video link alone. You never enter a TikTok username or password.
Can I download a video from a private account?
No. The tool reads only public videos. A video from a private account is visible only to followers the creator approved.
Will the downloaded video open in CapCut?
Yes. The tool chooses an H.264 MP4 file whenever TikTok offers one, and CapCut imports H.264 files without an error.
Can I download only the sound as an MP3?
Yes, on a separate page. The TikTok MP3 downloader on this site saves the sound as an audio file. This page saves the video as an MP4.
Can I download several videos at once?
No. Videos are downloaded one at a time. There is no cap on how many you download in a day.
Does the creator get a notification when I download a video?
No. The download happens outside the TikTok app and is not linked to any TikTok account, so TikTok has nothing to notify the creator about.
Why does the downloaded video look less sharp than I expected?
TikTok compresses every upload. The tool saves the best version TikTok stores, and it cannot be sharper than that version.
Where is the video saved after the download?
The video is saved in your browser's Downloads folder. On an iPhone, that folder is inside the Files app.
